It is scheduled for <STRONG>Thursday, November 13, 2008 at 7:30
pm.</STRONG> Location is the Riverside Memorial Chapel, on Broad
Street. As always, it is "bring a friend night"! The agenda for the
meeting includes a talk from Lowes Moore, head of the Mount Vernon Boys and
Girls Club, conversation and planning regarding the CVS proposal, as well as
upcoming events and the board elections. Which brings me to the next topic

Board Elections</FONT></SPAN></DIV>

Neighborhood Association is calling all interested parties for Executive Board
positions of the FNA. This is a one-year term position, and requires
real interest and enthusiasm. I have attached the Board
Application. Those who are interested in joining the Executive Board are
invited to submit the application no later than November 1 to be included on the
ballot for the Election. Please note that there is no limit to the number
of people who can be on the Executive Board. If you're willing to work
hard, then you're welcome!</FONT></SPAN></DIV>

class=697320118-15102008>The QOL committee is pleased to announce that the
Mailbox Campaign has been a success! As you walk or drive around, you will
notice the glare coming from the freshly painted mailboxes! In the past 2
weeks, more than 15 mailboxes have been freshly painted blue or green! There are
still more identified <STRONG>rustboxes</STRONG> left, so if you are interested
on taking an hour out of your day to improve the neighborhood, please email Pat

She will have more information, as well as the tools and paint you

Programs</SPAN></FONT></SPAN></DIV>

class=697320118-15102008><FONT size=2>Mount Vernon Recreation has put together
some great fall programs for us! There is Tennis, Soccer and Chess for the
kids, as well as Yoga, Salsa Dancing, and more for Adults! Please call
665-2420 for more information! These programs are low cost, and have
proven to be well organized and well run. Try a class out this year!
